Vase | Moonstone Beach

This vase is glazed in soft, opalescent layers of pale blue flowing over sandy clay, inspired by the luminous shimmer of moonstones scattered along a beach. The glaze catches the light with subtle iridescence, evoking the gentle glow of sea-washed stones and tide pools at dawn. The singular drip is perfectly juxtaposed on the rim.

With its tall, elegant form, this piece works beautifully as a vase for fresh or dried flowers, or as a sculptural statement on its own. Its soft coastal tones bring a sense of calm and oceanic beauty into any space.
Handmade in my little studio in Ōhaeawai, Aotearoa, New Zealand, this vase is a true one-off.
