Shipping & FAQ
Q: Where are your pottery pieces made?
A: All my pottery is handmade in my little studio in Ōhaeawai, Aotearoa, New Zealand. Each piece is carefully crafted with love and attention to detail.
Q: Are your ceramics dishwasher safe?
A: Yes! All my pottery is glazed and finished to be dishwasher safe for everyday convenience while maintaining its beauty.
Q: Can I use your pottery in the microwave or oven?
A: Most of my pieces are microwave safe (unless stated otherwise). They can be used in the oven if heated with the oven (not put into a hot oven) and not for use on or under direct flame (such as on stovetops or grills). Always handle with care.
Q: Can I request a custom order or commission?
A: Absolutely! I love creating custom pieces tailored to your needs. Please reach out via the contact page with your ideas, and we can discuss what’s possible.
Q: Do you offer gift wrapping or gift cards?
A: Gift wrapping is available for an additional fee of $5.00 per item. After you place your order, please let me know what the occasion is and I will wrap and include a note if you like! Unfortunately, I don’t currently offer gift cards but I hope to add this option in the future.
Q: How do I care for my pottery?
A: While dishwasher safe, I recommend gentle washing to prolong the life and beauty of your pottery. That said, I always use the dishwasher for all of my personal kitchen pieces.
Q: What materials do you use?
A: I use high-quality stoneware clay and a combination of homemade and storebought glazes inspired by ocean and earthy themes, all dinnerware safe. For vases and decorative pieces I will ocassionally use non-food safe glazes and will state this in the product description.
Processing Time:
I’ll always do my best to clearly communicate the estimated shipping timeframe with every order. Timing also depends on when your payment comes through after your order is confirmed.
Shipping & Handling:
I take great care to package your pottery securely so it arrives safely. This means that I use two boxes for your item alongside packing materials (which does increase the cost of shipping). However, accidents can sometimes happen in transit. If your item arrives damaged, please get in touch within 7 days and we’ll work together on a solution—whether that’s a refund or a replacement.
Shipping Costs:
Shipping prices vary depending on the size and weight of your order. I always aim to keep it as reasonable as possible, but given that I double box all items, the shipping can be a bit pricy - always happy to ship items together to bring down the overall cost. Also we are happy to have items picked up /dropped off in Kerikeri/Ōhaeawai/Paihia/Kaikohe, and twice a month we drop off in Whangārei, Auckland, and Wellsford.
Payment Options:
I currently accept bank transfers, Paypal or credit cards (via Stripe). Payment details will be included in your confirmation email after you’ve completed your order.
Returns & Exchanges:
If there’s a problem with your order, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to accept returns if the issue is something within my control. Unfortunately, I can’t accept returns for change of mind. If your item arrives damaged, please send me a photo within 7 days, and I’ll gladly arrange a replacement or refund after review.
Due to the fragile nature of ceramics, I’m unable to offer refunds for breakages that occur after delivery. Once your piece is in your care, it’s important to handle it gently so it can be enjoyed for years to come.
Return Conditions:
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. Returned items must be in their original condition—any loss in value will be the buyer’s responsibility.
