Mug | Midnight Currents Midsize

Like the deep colour of the ocean crashing on the sand late at night, Midnight Currents captures a dance of rich browns, cobalt blues, rich purples, tranquil aqua blues, and coastal ivory across an agateware speckled buff stoneware form. The glaze flows in fluid, organic layers and drips—each one evoking the ocean’s quiet rhythm. Shimmering golden flecks on the inside of the mug remind me of stars on a dark sea at night.

This handmade ceramic mug is wheel-thrown in my little studio in Ōhaeawai, Aotearoa, New Zealand. It's designed for everyday rituals—whether you're sipping your morning coffee, herbal tea, or something wild and briny.
