Mug | Karekare Drift

Inspired by the rugged beauty of Karekare Beach, one of my fave black sand beaches, the Karekare Drift Mug captures the natural contrast between dark volcanic sands and soft coastal earth. Handmade in my little studio in Ōhaeawai, Aotearoa, New Zealand, this wheel-thrown stoneware mug features an elegant blend of rich black clay and warm buff tones, with a curved belly shape, flowing together beneath a smooth ivory glaze that evokes the dynamic interplay of land and sea.
