Mug | Foam & Stone

This wheel-thrown mug is inspired by the meeting of waves and rock. The lower half is richly textured, echoing barnacles or weathered stone, while the glaze cascades in foamy blues and sandy hues, like waves breaking on a rugged shore.
The inside is smooth and earthy, making it as practical as it is evocative — a piece that brings coastal rhythm to your daily ritual. Handmade in my little studio in Ōhaeawai, Aotearoa, New Zealand, it’s a mug that carries the wild beauty of the ocean in its form.
