Blue Opal Tides Mug: Handmade Ocean-Inspired Ceramic Mug

Channel the rhythm of the sea with the Blue Opal Tide Mug, a handcrafted piece that captures the glistening hues of coastal waters. Made in my little studio in Ōhaeawai, Aotearoa, New Zealand, this mug features layered glazes in opalescent oceanic blues, soft periwinkle, and iridescent tones that evoke sea foam and shifting tidepools. A raw clay base anchors the design with natural texture, reminiscent of wet sand beneath the waves. These glazes are homemade, and formulated by me!

Each mug is wheel-thrown with care and completely unique: no two glazes flow exactly the same. The interior is fully glazed in a dreamy ocean blue, creating a calming, immersive drinking experience.
