This spoon rest is glazed in my Lagoon Tide finish, where deep indigo flows into turquoise and seafoam tones, meeting the sandy clay edge like water lapping against the shore. The spiral design brings a sense of tidal movement, making it a functional piece that also carries the calm rhythm of the ocean. Perfect for keeping your benchtop tidy while cooking, it can also serve as a small dish for tea bags, jewellery, or incense.
Handmade on the wheel and glazed in my little studio in Ōhaeawai, Aotearoa, New Zealand, this spoon rest is a true one-off.
