Oil Bottle | Driftstone

This wheel-thrown stoneware oil bottle is designed for both function and beauty. The body features subtle finger indentations that make it comfortable and secure to hold, allowing for smooth, controlled pouring. The Driftstone glaze cascades in earthy tones of cream, chestnut, and soft stone, creating natural drips reminiscent of weathered coastal rock formations. The base is carved to reveal the raw clay, grounding the piece with a tactile, earthy finish.

Perfect for olive oil, specialty vinegars, or dressings, this piece is fitted with a stainless steel pourer for easy everyday use.

Handmade in my little studio in Ōhaeawai, Aotearoa, New Zealand, this oil bottle is a one-off piece of functional art for the kitchen.
